Falkland Islands

The Falkland Islands are almost at the end of the world. It is generally windy and cold and filled with lots of wildlife. Of particular interest are the king penguins. Aren't they fabulous! Just watched again Morgan Freeman's "March of the Penguins" Can't wait to see "Happy Feet".

Iguacu Falls

We flew from Buenos Aires to Iguaçu and went on an adventure. The falls were fabulous and the jet boat ride under the Falls exhilarating. We were drenched but laughing all the time. We stayed in a quaint Posada . The shopping was fabulous with beautiful items made of Carpincho, the wild animal native to the north of Argentina.

Rio de Janeiro

Carnaval was awesome. We had great tickets in the tourist section for the Samba Parade in the Sambadromo. Seven schools were represented from favelas to upper class and some of the schools were made up of 5000+ people. An amazing spectacle. Rio is alive. The weather is fantastic and the streets and beaches are full of excitement. We just dress to blend in, no jewellery just flip flops. The girls are gorgeous and Peter has severe whiplash.

Busios, Brazil

Busios is fantastic. We had a wonderful day wondering around and hanging out at the beach. This is Bridget Bardot.

Montevideo

Here we are in Montevideo, Uruguay. We went to the Yacht Club for lunch at Pocitos Beach. Got this great pix on the Rambla of the nuns on the rocks.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Here we are in Buenos Aires, the city of tango and barbeques. Peter ordered a T-bone steak and this is what it looked like when it arrived. Estimated size 2 1/2 pounds. Estimated weight gain with french fries and wine = 5 pounds.
