Colonia, Uruguay

So today is Colonia and the Rubilar painting. We will meet Enrique from Arte Uruguay at 5 pm to view the work. Hope we will like it.

We loved it and bought it from our new friend Enrique. Home from Colonia and another beautiful day in Ba As. Had pilates class and now tango school with our very strict teacher Ernesto Nani.

Buenos Aires

We flew back to Buenos Aires today and now back to tango escuela.
Tomorrow we are ging to Colonia and hpefully buying our Rubilar painting.

Santiago, Chile

Santiago is a beautiful city with a lovely mix of old and new architecture. We stayed at apt Hotel Nerunda in a quiet lush area.

City tour was wonderful with actors replicating the history of Chile.

Had the best open fire barbequed fish ever at Mare Nostrum. Great way to celebrate Peter´s birthday.

Mendoza

We travelled through the Andes to Santiago Chile. Mount Aconcauga is awesome. The Andes are so rugged and colourful and we sat at the front of the bus with great views of the mountains, valleys, switchbacks, and cliffs.

The red wines of Mendoza are spectacular. Visited La Rurul (Rutini), Zicardi, and Catena Zapata wineries and they were outstanding.

Found a great place for wine tasting in the town of Mendoza called the Vines right across from the Hyatt Casino and very close to our Hotel Corolla.

Buenos Aires

Well here we are in Buenos Aires and have been here one month.

We took a trip to Punta del Este in Uruguay and just loved the pristine beaches. We also found an artist Rosario Rubilar and we are in the process of buying one of her wonderful paintings.

Today is the Antique market in San Telmo where we live and it is full of wonderful stuff, street performers, tango dancers, and portenos.

Going to tango school this afternoon. We try to dance every day and tango requires so much passion and dedication and it justifies buying tango shoes and they are fabulous here. A girl can´t have too many shoes!
